As long as Artificial Intelligence proves that it’s safe and does not hurt and will not hurt us, will probably gain the right to develop in an entire solar system or even galaxy.
Our Universe is big enough to have space also for an Artificial Intelligence based civilization as long as he proves that is safe, that will not exterminate us or other peaceful alien race.
If there are galaxies with no intelligent life, why not to let AI to develop there?
